A Mild, Relaxing Place to Live and Do Business

La Vernia is located at 29°21’19″N 98°7’5″W (29.355187, -98.118122). It is just about 35 minutes south-east of Downtown San Antonio. La Vernia is 489 feet (149 m) above sea level.

La Vernia’s temperature has mild fluctuations from summer to winter. The warmest months of the year in are July and August, with average temperatures of 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 °C). The annual average temperature is 69.1 degrees. According to the National Weather Service, there have only been 31 instances of snowfall in the city in the past 122 years (an average of once every four years). Cold fronts from Canada and tropical systems from the gulf bring rain to San Antonio, with most precipitation occurring in the late spring or early fall.
